ENGR 111
What: A six week, half term course offered twice a semester. Topics covered include major Additive Manufacturing technologies, using CAD, designing parts for printing, using FDM printers, the Polyjet printer, and laser cutting.
Where: The course meets once a week for 90 minutes in the MakerSpace. There is a final exam at the end of the course.
Grading: Satisfactory/Unsatisfactory
ENGR 112
What: A six week, half term course offered once a semester. It covers subtractive machining and machine shop safety.
Where: The course meets once a week for 90 minutes in the COE Machine Shop.
Grading: Satisfactory/Unsatisfactory
ENGR 214 (currently listed as ENGR 294)
What: A full term course, offered once a semester. Topics covered include Advanced use of CNC mills, electronic test
equipment, and more.
Where: The course meets once a week for two hours in the MakerSpace.
Grading: Letter
IMED Program
What: A collaboration between the College of Engineering and the UIC Medical School. The class teaches prototyping in the Makerspace and Machine Shop as it relates to medical devices
